Friendly Staff
Homewood Suites by Hilton Carle Place - Garden City NYThe rooms were clean and up to date. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There are plenty of places to eat and many stores nearby. Lots of parking. There is a very small corner of the parking lot for potty breaks and it has mulch instead of grass.
NOT Very Dog Friendly
Island Gypsy Cafe & Marina BarAs one reviewer mentioned, they hand you a card with dog rules. That was ok. What wasn’t ok, was our very rude waiter, Felix, who clearly does not like dogs. He felt the need to rudely tell us that my dog, who was already under the table, had to stay there. He then pushed one of the chairs into my dog. That’s when we decided to leave and go to the Pelican Bend down the road.
Great location
Homewood Suites by Hilton Lawrenceville DuluthNice hotel. They had a small grassy area for the dogs to relieve themselves. They were out of poop bags for the 5 days we were there. The hotel staff were all very nice and accommodating. The rooms were clean.
Great location
Hampton Inn & Suites OcalaThe staff was friendly, ample parking, the room was clean and spacious. If you walk diagonal from the hotel (across from the Marriott), there is a large field and next to that, is a nice off leash walk around a dried up reservoir (?). I am giving the hotel 4 bones because they didn’t have a large refrigerator, stove top, or utensils of any kind.
Great location
Home2 Suites By Hilton Orlando Near UniversalReally nice hotel. The room was very spacious. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. I had to print a lot of things and it was very easy to access and use the PC and printer. The parking lot was large and safe. The room and lobby were very clean.
Wonderful hotel
Residence Inn Marriott OcalaThe staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean. There is a large field across the way where you can let your dog stretch its legs.
Would not go back
Home2 Suites by Hilton Smyrna NashvilleThe front desk staff (the only staff I saw) was very unfriendly. And when I say staff, I mean one person at any given time. The hotel allows smoking at every entrance/exit and the pool area. There were always at least one smoker on each of the two patios. The outside areas are very old and rundown. Both poop bag boxes were empty. Three light fixtures in my room were out. The blackout shade was broken, therefore it was dark during the day and light shone in the room at night. The walls are not soundproof, so you heard everything coming from the adjoining rooms and the room above you.
The bathrooms are tiny. You had to close the bathroom door to take a shower. Only one shower door opens, so you have to walk into the shower to turn the water on. The bathroom fan didn’t work. Remember I mentioned that you have to close the bathroom door to take a shower? Yeah, the bathroom steamed up quickly. For some strange reason, they combined two hotels into one. Tru and Home2. The entrance is strange because although it is two hotels, there is only one checkout and it’s on the Tru side. People checking in were very confused.
Because it is two hotels in one, the hallways on the second floor up to the top floor are extremely long. I felt as if I was in the movie The Shining. I keep waiting to see the Grady twins at the end of the hallway and Danny come pedaling around the corner on his tricycle. It was conveniently near the highway and there are restaurants and stores within a reasonable driving distance. The room was clean. The mattress was old and saggy.
Dog friendly
JB's Pour HouseThe patio is enough spacious to accommodate large dogs and there is plenty of shade. Our waitress was very nice and was quick to replenish our drinks. The food was very good. I had the catfish which was delicious.
Great food
Sammy B's Restaurant and CateringThe food was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The waitstaff were very accommodating and other than along with our waitress, two employees came out to meet our dogs. Our waitress was very sweet and personable. The deck was very nice and each table had umbrellas that you could open up. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.
Nice Hotel
Home2 Suites by Hilton Augusta GAThe hotel was clean. However, the employee at check-in was very rude and acted as if I was bothering her. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it didn’t make my check-in experience very good. The outside area for the dogs was very small and the ground was covered with some type of pine needles that stuck to the dogs fur. The hotel was somewhat close to a few restaurants and the area wasn’t too bad.
Nice Hotel
Staybridge Suites London an IHG HotelThe staff was friendly. The inside of the hotel and my room was very clean. They serve a continental type breakfast. I am not a fan of breakfast, so I cannot comment on the food. The hotel is convenient to restaurants, gas stations and stores. As usual, they put us on the top (5th) floor at the very end of the hallway. This time I didn’t mind it so much. Unfortunately they do not have a dog relief area nor do they have poop bags or a place to deposit the bags. I bring my own bags, so that’s not a deal breaker for me. The lack of a trash bin or a designated area for the dogs yo relieve themselves is always a nice addition. The grounds have a lot of trash and there was dog poop in the tall grass. My recommendation is to take your dog along the road to stretch his/her legs and to relieve themselves. There’s a long, wide stretch of grass and if your dog is well trained, you can let them off leash to get a little exercise. If I am up that way again, I will definitely stay there again.
Nice Inn
The Black Swan Lee - Lenox Ascend Hotel CollectionI only stayed one night, but the room was very clean and cozy. The front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating. There was plenty of places to take my dog to potty 🙂. There was ample parking and there is an Indian restaurant right in the establishment, but it was too late for me to eat. But it does get great reviews. There is a lake right behind the inn, but unfortunately I had to leave early in the morning. I would stay there again.
Great Hotel
Home2 Suites by Hilton Warner RobinsVery dog friendly. The staff was welcoming and every day they asked me how my dog did at the show. The room was very spacious and clean. There is plenty of parking and lots of restaurants and stores nearby. My only complaint is that the grassy area is very small and many dog owners do not pick up their dogs poop.
Nice Hotel
Sheraton Laguardia East HotelThe hotel staff and valets were very nice and accommodating. The room was clean, but small. You had to walk a few blocks to a housing development for your dog to poop. It is the only place that has grass. There are only two places in front of the hotel to park while you check in. The only place to leave your vehicle is in the garage and they charge you. The entrance to the garage is only 6’7”, so be mindful of that before you book. Although the hotel is dog friendly, the area in which the hotel is located, is not.
Close to Fairgrounds
Jameson Inn PerryThe room was clean, but small. There was no designated area for dogs, but there was plenty of grassy areas for the dogs to do their business. The Inn is 7 minutes from the fairgrounds and a minute or two away from restaurants, gas stations, and stores.
Wonderful Hotel
Homewood Suites by Hilton GreenvilleI can’t say enough about this hotel. It was conveniently located off the interstate. The staff welcomed my dog with dog biscuits and poop bags. Our room was on the first floor, which is a huge bonus! The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The dog area outside was very large, grassy with some trees. All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking and plenty of restaurants nearby.
Dog friendly
Coconut Jack's Waterfront GrilleAlthough it was late on a Tuesday night, we had to wait longer because the place was packed and I had my dog. We waited out front next to the valet area and my dog got a lot of attention. The valet guys were great. Because I had a dog, I had to go around to the side of the building and enter through the patio door. It wasn’t a problem for me because I know that eating establishments do not like dogs walking through the restaurant. I asked if we could sit in a corner and the hostess accommodated us. Our waiter, Mike, was fantastic. He brought my dog water and informed us that they were out of the specials, but suggested a couple of appetizers and entrees. The food was excellent. They only have valet parking, which I prefer, so it worked out great.
Very dog friendly
The BoathouseThe food was very good, the patio (floor) was clean, the staff was very friendly towards my dog. Our waiter brought my dog water (after I asked) and several of the staff asked if they could take a photo of my dog. The view of the marina and bay were an added bonus. They offer valet, which makes it convenient.
Very dog friendly
Pelican BendThe restaurant is very dog friendly with wonderful views and delicious food. Our waiter brought my dog a bowl of water to enjoy. The gorgeous pelicans were an added bonus.
Very Dog Friendly
M Waterfront GrilleThe staff sat us on the patio with lovely views. My dog is a large breed, Black Russian Terrier and he had plenty of room. The staff brought him a water bowl and offered him a dog biscuit. The food was excellent and the valet parking made it very convenient.
Not the best food
Harpoon Harry'sThe food was just ok. Not a lot of room for a large dog. I had my 120 lb. Black Russian Terrier under the table (there were 4 of us). There wasn’t a lot of room
under there and it was too hot for him. The waitress didn’t offer me any water for him, but she was a little frazzled. I did bring him outside and gave him my water that they serve in a plastic cup. You do have to park far away, but the walk was nice. I wouldn’t go back.
Very dog friendly
The Dock at Crayton CoveThey sat us right next to the dock. The wait staff was very accommodating and brought my dog a water bowl. The food was excellent.
Clean Room
Equus Inn OcalaThe staff was friendly. Our room was clean and spacious. Our room was facing the busy street, so it was noisy all night. The neighbors in the rooms on either side of us, were talking outside on the balcony in the wee hours of the morning. But that is no fault of the hotel. There was a short, narrow strip of grass for the dogs to relieve themselves, but you couldn’t let them off leash to stretch their legs.
Pleasant stay
Candlewood Suites Tallahassee an IHG HotelThe room was small, but it had a small kitchen, so it made it a little better. There was a small area for the dogs to relieve themselves, but other owners didn’t pick up after their dogs, so it was nasty. The barrel with the used bags, was overflowing the entire 7 nights we were there. The staff were friendly and welcoming to dogs.
Great Hotel
The Hotel at Arundel PreserveThe hotel rooms are large and clean. The staff is very friendly and they loved my dog. There are two restaurants on the first floor and two restaurants that are a 2 minute walk. There is a parking garage that has many charging stations for those that have an electric vehicle or hybrid. There is a very large grassy area to let your dogs stretch their legs. I cannot say enough about this hotel.
Nice hotel but…
The Park Hotel LondonThey charge $30 a day to park your vehicle in the garage. The hotel is on the city, so you really have no choice but to use the garage. You have to take your dog across the street and let them do their business on the grass stretch between the street and sidewalk. The room was very nice and spacious. The night (manager?) behavior was very odd when I checked out at 4:00am.
Great location
Motel 6 London ON - OntarioThe motel is only 16 minutes from where the dog show was held in Dorchester (fairground). All of the staff at the motel were very nice and accommodating. The rooms aren’t the nicest, but if you are bringing dogs and/or cats, it’s almost better than having a newer room. If I could, I would give it 4.5 bones, but only because some of the guests were a little shady.
