Friendly staff in a quiet hotel

All of the staff at this hotel were very friendly. The hotel was fairly basic and needs some updating but it was quiet and clean. We will stay here again.

Noisiest night ever

The hotel facilities were fine so I gave 2 bones instead of 1 based on our overall experience. We were given a room that was adjoined with another room with the doors in between. There were small children in the room next door that were either screaming and jumping on beds or crying for 90% of the time we were there. The children were also repeatedly trying to open the door between rooms. The doors between rooms did not block out any noise as we could clearly hear every word when the parents of the children did ask them to be quiet.

In addition, there was noise for hours until 12 or 1 from the room above us that sounded like kids bouncing on the beds and then jumping off. I regret not complaining more and insisting we be moved, but we were told all the pet rooms were taken for that night. I realize that the majority of the noise was because of irresponsible parents, but the hotel needs to place only those requesting adjoining rooms into these because there is very minimal sound barrier between the doors.
