Disappointed

I was craving Italian and checked here to find somewhere where we could take our dog. The website says they’re open until 10 on Saturday, we arrived at 8:40 and were met in the parking lot by an employee who told us they closed at 8. So, we left and came back Sunday afternoon. We were cut off prior to reaching the door and told to sit at one of the two small tables out front. A lady came out right away and cleaned our table, brought menus and asked if we’d like water for our dog, she was very sweet. Then we sat. And sat. And sat some more. We sat for close to half an hour after we’d closed our menus. No one ever came to see if what we’d like to drink much less to take our order so we left. I realize we had just come from the beach and weren’t as presentable as we could have been but, my parents always taught me not to judge a book by its cover which served me well when I worked for tips. Too bad no one taught the servers here the same because we’re really good tippers when we receive even mediocre service as long as the server is kind and treats us well. We tried to eat there twice, there won’t be a third attempt.
