Great for dogs, not so great for humans

Got settled into our room only to find out that neither the TV nor phone worked. Called the desk from my cell phone and she said she’d be right down. Quite a bit later she showed up and she got the TV on but then said that the problem with that particular TV is the sound doesn’t work and the remote doesn’t work the TV. What??? Why does a hotel have a TV that doesn’t work? It’s not like that tiny TV costs a fortune to replace. $150 tops. Bad management!!!

She then offered us another room down the hall and checked it to make sure everything was working. Very nice of her but still an inconvenience since we had to load everything back up again as if we were leaving. Thankfully the TV and phone in the new room both worked and we had a decent night's rest. Also the door lock to the outside door of the hotel was broken so anyone could get into the hotel without a key card and there appeared to be some homelessness nearby from the trash seen at the restaurant next door. Hotel is right next to the freeway but zero freeway noise inside the room, so that is a plus to be had. It wasn’t all bad. :)
