Nice hotel
Hyatt Centric the Pike Long BeachThe hotel was nice and updated. Enjoyed that I could bring my dog into the downstairs bar area. I didn’t check out the pool area as I assumed it was not a “dog area” but I never asked. The location is OK. Very touristy. When I arrived Sunday night it was very busy with lots of people. The rest of the week it was relatively a dead zone. Lots of outlet malls and chain restaurants which are not my thing. But it served as a good anchor to travel to nearby areas.

Just OK
Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey BayNothing stood out about this hotel to justify the price when I could be down the street for easily half what I paid. On check in I asked for doggy bowls and bedding. Was told concierge would bring it by. They never did for the two nights I stayed. Also thin walls, heard the neighbors fighting and security perform a wellness check.
