Can’t leave dog alone in room

Great hotel, but we will only come back without our pup. Although they are pet-friendly, upon check in we had to sign a disclose stating we would never leave our dog alone. Therefore, our whole trip was ruined because we had planned to do some shopping and grab a bite out and we were unable to do so. The Marriott across the way allows you to leave your pet and just has your leave a sign on your door alerting housekeeping and hotel staff that your dog is in the room. We will try that hotel next time we want to bring our little guy.
