Nice modern motel
Motel 6 Lincoln NEOn this trip I stayed at 4 pet-friendly motels. This Motel 6 had the lowest rate of the 4 and was the most modern, cleanest, and had the best dog facilities (grass areas right outside with a pet waste station). Also no extra charge for pets!
Low quality "hotel"
Rodeway Inn Grand IslandRoom & hallways had a musty/moldy odor. The telephone system didn't work. Front desk clerk said a new fiber cable system would be installed "in a few days." Neither of the 2 TV remotes worked. The clerk said to use the buttons located on the back side of the TV. There was a grassy area outside the back of the building for dog walking. I do not recommend staying here.
Decent motel
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Denver GoldenThis is a 3 story motel with outside walkways and elevator. The room and property was clean, but a bit "tired." There are grassy areas around the parking lot for dog walking. The staff was pet friendly and I saw more dogs staying there than I have at any other motel I've ever stayed at.
Older motel in a scenic area
H & H Motor LodgeWhen I checked-in they said they didn't know that I was bringing a pet and that all the pet-friendly rooms were already rented. However, they let me stay in a "no pets" room anyway. (I would suggest calling the motel directly a few days before your stay to make sure they know that you're bringing fido). This is an old style motor lodge and is a bit "tired" but the room was clean. The security chain on the door was broken and the lock was an "old-fashioned key-in-door-knob" type. The only area for pet-relieving was a tiny grassy area between the motel and the Safeway parking lot next door. There is a park about 1-2 blocks away along the creek for dog walking. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and I would stay here again in spite of the issues.
