This is a DERELICT building

I was ALARMED by the outside of this “motel”, as there was obvious major neglect. Abandoned building equipment and supplies and an abundance of litter all over the entire ground floor of the site. I hesitated to even enter the “lobby”, but since I’d pre-paid for my room, I could not afford a different room anywhere else. The GREAT thing is this ancient economy motel had an “inside corridor with a pool and other “upscale” amenities, when it was actually functional.

By the Grace of God, the young man taking care of me agreed to “upgrade” my room to THAT area without any additional charge, besides the $45 extra deposit fee for my dogs. That resulted in me spending the night in a much more appealing and safer space. The room, bedding, and towels were clean. I will NEVER, EVER reserve a room at ANY “economy” motel again!

Filthy!

Virtually the ONLY clean space in the room, was the bed, thank God! A $50 “deposit” was required at check-in; however in order to have THAT refunded, the room had to be “inspected”? The office didn’t open until 7am and I left at 5:30am. So ADD $50 to the cost of the filthy room. Sorry!

Not recommended

ALL the sheets, mattress pads, and towels were so stained, I was truly “grossed out”! I had my own sheets with me and folded them in half across the bed so I wouldn’t have to touch anything on the bed. I did not want to touch any part of my body with any of the towels… gross! Again, I was charged an additional $50 for a dog deposit. I believe these very OLD economy motels are being misrepresented to interested parties with their ORIGINAL photos, which are DECADES old! The buildings are falling apart, the rooms have not been maintained, and although what you “see” online looks acceptable, if you saw current photos of the ACTUAL location, you would NEVER choose to make a reservation to stay there. :(
