Don’t get stuck here!

Salish Sea Brewing

This review is really years in the making. My experiences at Salish just go from bad to worse. I blame myself partly because I went back. BIG MISTAKE! I love going out to relax in Edmonds, have some food or drinks enjoy my wife’s company or with more friends. Great spot for fresh air. I tried to support local business and mix it up from just going to Rory’s or Demetri’s. I think at first when I just went for drinks I didn’t get the whole “experience” I mean they still ignore you asking for water or ice but if you dare order food it’s like a invitation for insults from the staff. This is DEFINITELY NOT a place you should go if you have dietary restrictions (I’m newly diabetic and have been trying to reduce salt/cholesterol). I realize from myself working at many chain restaurants it’s impossible to please everyone. But at Salish the “manager” (I’m still not sure we got no introduction or name) might come over to say “oh you again” “why do you come back? You just complain.. you should just order things you like.” I mean wow! You can literally sit at a table and watch your fries die in the window while all the other meals are made. We get salads and they are missing items listed in the menu. Everyone makes mistakes but If you say something they are keeping a list for later to say that “you’re a complainer”. I was made to feel like I am a problem if I ask twice for ice or water refills when no one comes to check on you. Napkins are also a struggle. I’m sorry to be so negative but I have never been treated this way anywhere else. The manager literally came out and made a scene over us asking to remake soggy fries. I have NEVER had any free food we don’t ask for discounts just good service!!!!! So disappointing! I apologized to the table next to me because obviously all the drama ruined my appetite and attitude. Such drama over cold fries. This grown man is yelling at wife. It’s food! I’m really happy there are other places and I didn’t lose my cool. This was my wake up call though definitely not ever going back.
