Little iffy but worked out
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Knoxville at Cedar Bluff TNWhen I arrived at the hotel between 10 and 10:30pm, I was told that there was no record of my pre-paid, non-refundable, king suite reservation. After initially being told there were no more rooms available, about 30 minutes of searching and reviewing my BringFido reservation information that I produced, yielded a non-suite king room and no charge of the pet fee. Other than the initial snafu with the reservation, the room and amenities were excellent for human and pet accommodations. Hotel is located in a safe neighborhood that allows ample venues to walk and take care of business.
Highly Recommended
My Place Hotel- Nashville East-140/Lebanon TNCheck-in easy. Great rooms for human and pup (not relegated to some out-of-the-way or noisy location in the hotel). Nice large grassy area with poop station, dedicated to getting the pup's business done. Fairly new chain, with only one location currently in Tennessee. Will seek out for stay on future travels in other locations.
Excellent Location
Candlewood Suites Washington-Fairfax an IHG HotelLocated in a predominately residential area that made walks enjoyable. Centric proximity to other great outdoor opportunities for exploration with pet. Extremely pet friendly accommodations. Only minor downside is that the pet area directly outside the door is a little sparse on ground cover and it becomes muddy after a rain shower, but it can be easily avoided.
Wrong Place, Wrong Time
La Quinta by Wyndham Huntsville Airport MadisonStayed on first floor, rooms were nice, but events that night were not conducive to sleep for us or pet. Due to unruly guests across the hall, loud disruptive yelling and door slamming persisted throughout the evening leading to police eventually being called and commotion not subsiding until after 2:00 am when guests were evicted from hotel. Hotel did provide a discount of $25.50 from the initial room charge and pet fee, but it didn't compensate the lack of sleep received in preparation for a 650 mile drive the next day. If looking for a pet friendly hotel, would recommend finding one that allows not being on the first floor. This was the second, first floor, incident experienced on our 5 day trip, with the other being from a different La Quinta.
