Busy Birmingham location

This was a very typical Homewood Suites overall. They main reason for not 5 bones was that we were put on the 3rd floor, rather than the 1st floor as was described when booking, and there was not a door hangar that said "pet inside" as was also noted. Luckily my dog is super chill and not a barker, so no one was disturbed (that I know of). Schlepping personal belongings and collapsible crate, etc up to the third floor wasn't particularly fun given that we only stayed one night. The front desk woman said their first floor was already full, so we made the best of it! Location is off of a very busy state highway with lots of traffic at most all hours. That said there was everything under the sun that you could possibly need! Gas, groceries, chain pharmacies and of course a PetsMart within 1/2 mile.
