Don't stay here

The front desk guy was very rude and told me there was a $100 dog deposit I told him there wasn't anything on the BringFido or Super 8 website about that. He insisted there was deposit for dog damages and said I had to pay it in cash. I said I don't have that much cash and told him to put it on my credit card. That transaction was NEVER put on my credit card, nor was it included on the check-in receipt I received, so I'm pretty sure he was just scamming me.

The room had not been vacuumed, and it looked like it hadn't been done in weeks. Thankfully the sheets, towels, and bathroom were clean though. They didn't have the breakfast available, even though their Super 8 website had it listed as included with the room. Very thin walls. We could hear every time someone walked past the room. The second night I could smell the person above us smoking pot from our bathroom vent. The caulking was cracked in many places in the bathroom. The walls were stained in several places and the whole room needed a paint job.

Overall this is just a very old and run down motel that should be either significantly updated to this century's building codes or torn down.

Nice hotel

The hotel was very nice overall. The room was clean but the carpet was stained, although it didn't drive the dog's bionic nose crazy or anything. Our room was across from the elevator (not an ideal location) which caused our dog to bark when people passed by (especially the ones coming back from the bars at 2 am) but luckily the hotel wasn't too busy at the time. Kids running up and down the hallway caused problems for our dog, but that is blamed on the parents, not the hotel. Overall it was a good stay. I would have given it 5 bones if it weren't for the room location. The hotel should really put their dog rooms toward the ends of the hallways.
