Needs attention to details

We've found La Quinta to be one of the best hotel chains in our travels with our dog, and this one seemed nice at first. However we soon found that the heater in the room only blew cool air (when it was in the 20s outside) and the shower had wholly inadequate water pressure unless on a very cold setting. The hotel was a bit noisy with lots of local workers housed in the facility and not particularly concerned about the noise they made. In the morning, a housekeeper knocked on our door at 9am expecting us to be gone, and other housekeepers were shouting up and down the hall to each other. Very small grass areas outside for the dog to take care of business. All in all, we had high hopes but were disappointed in our experience at this location.

Very clean and comfortable

This was a great stop for us and the mutt. Large comfortable room that was very clean with friendly staff. Usual hotel-style breakfast was available. Fitness center offers high-quality Precor equipment, though the pool was drained for the season. Grassy areas around the building to walk the dog. Only negative was a lot of slamming doors in the morning.

Not worth the cheap price

Well, it's a nice low price. That's about the only good thing I can say. This hotel feels old and the room was decorated with moth-eaten drapes and funky worn linens. The "full breakfast" was anything but - it was the skimpiest offering we've seen anywhere. The usual waffle maker, a few packaged pastries and some dry cereal was about all that was offered. A well-worn sign claims that "due to Covid 19 our emergency food supplies are limited, so we will limit our breakfast offerings." Tip - go to the nearby coffee shop for much better coffee, breakfast burritos and pastries.

As for accepting dogs, they put us in a room at the far end of a hallway near an outside door for easy access. However, that door does not lock so there is no security. Worse, there is no place to walk the dog other than a dirt turnaround and rough scrub-brush full of trash. Every time we took our little pup out for a walk she picked up goats-heads (thorny spiky pods) in her feet. Miserable place and definitely NOT RECOMMENDED.

Nice and clean

Very clean. Inviting pool and small fitness room. Rooms comfortable. Full breakfast included.

Decent room next to a park

This was a clean hotel with very comfortable beds. A nice town park is just across the street and great for walking the dog. Small fitness room with marginal quality equipment but usable. A Thai and Chinese restaurant was next door, but we drove about a mile and a half to a Chilis that was next to a Texas Roadhouse. Both busy on a Saturday night.

Great place to stay

Large clean facility with a great pool Enclosed grassy dog run in the courtyard and a big open grassy park with a large pond behind the property. Comfortable rooms with nicely cushioned floors. Highly recommended.

Not as clean as hoped

A very basic road hotel - a cut above Motel 6 but not by much. Room smelled of smoke despite being a non-smoking room, and furnishing felt old and dated. Rug did not look or smell clean - wife said it felt greasy on her bare feet. Very sparse grass area beside building for walking the muttster, and was full of trash and dog poop. Breakfast offerings were pretty limited as well. At least there's a nearby Starbucks and Perkins for food.

Inexpensive but sparse

Bed wasn’t very comfortable for us. Hard floor not great for pupster. Good low cost housing for a night on the road, but none of us slept very well. Minimal dog walking areas with no lighting at night.
