Filthy and Dangerous

How Marriott allows this franchise to keep the Marriott name is beyond comprehension. The only positive part of this stay was dealing with the staff member named Keyandra. She was the only one who was helpful, professional and friendly. Staying here for three weeks while searching for real estate was abhorrent. We battled roaches, rude staff, the room was half cleaned once a week, and there was drug activity from non-guests in the parking lot. When we first checked in, the room was torn up and dirty. When I complained to the manager, she acted like she didn’t want to hear it. A few days later, Keyandra offered to change rooms for us.

The second room wasn’t as worn out, but it was definitely tired and dirty with filthy windows, slow draining sink, dirty coffee maker, nasty stove and oven, etc. When the drug activity and strange vehicles in the parking lot were reported to another desk clerk in the evening, she said she would call the police but she did not. The clerk on duty the next morning confirmed that the previous clerk did not call the police. The activity continued well beyond her shift until after midnight (I have this on video). The non-guests also like to play loud music in the parking lot which keeps the guests awake. The roaches in the room and hallways were also reported, but no action was taken on that matter either.

The housekeepers like to take their smoke break right outside the exit door. I guess they don’t care that secondhand smoke is toxic. The non-guests also like to come in and enjoy the free breakfast. I caught one of them taking bacon with his bare hands! This has to be a health department violation. Speaking of health department violations, on the morning of November 6, the hostess was scratching her head with her bare hands then handled food. We couldn’t stand it any longer and had to check out a week early.
