Snow the dog is a cream and white husky lab rescue. He was brought to the shelter from a remote community after loosing an eye in a dog attack. We love adventures and food.

New store, show some love

Jasper Pet Outpost

Found them on a google search, so had to stop in and have look. They are the only pet service aside from a vet in Jasper proper. The owners are very friendly and caring, with a "stuff happens" sense of humour. They offer a day care and small selection of premium pet products among other services.
The location is bit out of the way but near the Jasper off leash park.

Spacious and comfortable

Royal Hotel Calgary, Trademark Collection By Wyndham

The room was very nice and comfortable, great space to relax in. Checking in and was a breeze, Snow even got a welcome bag with treats, poop bags and a welcome sheet spelling out the "suggestions" and some rules. There is parking a plenty. The hotel description is a bit oversold though. There are no trails, but a nice grassy area to walk, that is the easement between the parking lot and main roads. The room was also on the main floor making getting outside and back in a breeze.

Superb stay

Banff Ptarmigan Inn

From check in to check out the stay was comfortable and staff very friendly. Checking in the front desk staff asked if we (Snow and myself) would like a bed and bowls brought to the room, we had our own so that wasn't needed but appreciated. The room itself was cozy. Travelling solo with one pet this wasn't an issue. People traveling as group or with more then one medium to large fur kid may find it a bit tight. Though pretty sure there other pet friendly rooms. Parking could also be an issue for those travelling in full size suvs, trucks, or with a roof rack carrier as the underground parking only has a height of 6 feet, barely. There is top side parking available, which I found more convenient as the door was next to the room and there were no stairs or elevators needed.

Comfortable room

Invermere Inn

Location was great, being at the end of the main street in downtown Invermere meant that all the shops were in convenient walking distance with a great bakery right across the street. There are plenty of craft and artisan stores nearby too.

The room itself was very spacious and comfortable for Snow and I, and the staff were great and happy to greet us. He even got a treat when we checked out.

Good park, not parking

Jasper Off Leash Park

The park it's self, as far as dog parks go is pretty good, the varied terrain and trees offer plenty of stimulating environments for the dogs to sniff and explore with an open area for running and treed area for exploring and leaving "notes".
Few things to note though, there is no parking directly at the park. Parking is across the road and shared with the hardware store which may prove interesting during peak summer months. The only trash cans are also in that parking lot. Access to the park is via crossing the road and navigating a steep shoulder off the side of the road, those with mobility issues may best avoid this park as there are no steps, railings or ramps down to the park gates that were noticed.

Nice no frills hotel

Marmot Lodge

The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The rooms are nothing special but are clean and comfortable and are outdoor access only. The grassy area out front is nice and large for doggy duties just watch for elk passing through.
