All About Money

Pet Express Animal Hospital

Don't bring your pet here if they're actually sick and you need medical attention. I've had two awful experiences.
The first time was when I brought my cat here who is prone to UTIs. I brought her on a Sunday which is considered an "emergency" time which is fine. I knew I would pay additional. I just wanted them to do the urine test and give her an antibiotic. I called ahead to see if they were busy/what the wait was like. The front desk said "oh not busy, maybe 15 minutes." I drive there, I'm less than 10 minutes away, and I waited for over 2 hours. I also heard them shuffling around in the back talking about how they couldn't find the liquid medication for my cat so they gave her the pill form. When I asked for a pill popper to help THEY CHARGED ME FOR IT. I left with a $500+ bill for a urine test and medication.
The second time was even worse. My mom brought in a 5 week old kitten who was on medication for a bone infection. He was on the edge of recovery but was still fragile. We were told to bring him in at 8am so their orthopedic surgeon could do an assessment on him. Nobody called to give any updates. After 8 hours we called and they said he wasn't ready. By 10 hours my mom just went in to get him without a call. It took them 45 more minutes to bring him out, and when they did, he was lethargic, cold, and had feces on his butt and paws. He died the next day. We honestly think they left him in the carrier we brought him in all day and forgot about him. My mom had been giving him around the clock care for 3 weeks and he was making major improvements. One day in the cold without food and he died. We're sick. Don't bring your pets here. They also still charged her $170 and the orthopedic surgeon NEVER CALLED.
