Good for the price
Motel 6-Kearney NEI don’t expect much from these hotels, but honestly, after hours on the road, a place to sleep and shower is all I need. The check-in was quick and the room was clean. Decent amount of grass/sidewalk to take the dog for a brief walk. Would stay again if needed.

Not a fan
Red Roof Inn Fort WayneI don’t expect much from these hotels, just a place to sleep and shower. But this one deserves a review. The area was whatever. There was at least a strip of grass for the dog. But the check-in took close to 15 minutes and the staff member mumbled the entire time making it very hard to communicate. When we finally got into the room, it appeared clean. But when we went to shower we discovered the shower curtain covered in mold. Not sure if this was just our room or not. But between the location, interactions with staff, and the bathroom, I would avoid this hotel at all costs.

Perfect
WoodSpring Suites Kansas City LenexaWe stopped here to sleep after a long day of driving as we made our way across the country. Check-in was easy, and the only way to access the building was with your room key. We felt very safe. Very close to lots of restaurants and shops. We were able to leave the pup and run out and grab dinner. Located toward the back of what seemed like a business park, but there was a sidewalk along the road leading up to the hotel, which was great to walk the dog. Perfect for our single night stay, but would be doable for a couple nights if needed!

Just What We Needed
Motel 6 Indianapolis IN - SouthportStayed here for a single night as we made our way across the country. Easy to find right off the highway, with lots of places to eat surrounding it. Pet-friendly and we actually crossed the street and walked the pup in the neighborhood behind the hotel, which tired her out for another long day of driving and expended some energy once we arrived. Some towels had stains, but overall, it satisfied our needs, which was just a place to sleep for the night. Staff was very friendly!
