Great place
Residence Inn NashuaNewer hotel, large rooms, nicely manicured grounds, great customer service, delicious breakfast, and low pet fee. What more can you ask for?
Dogs welcomed!
Barrows HouseMy wife and I stayed at the Barrows House Inn from Saturday to Sunday to celebrate her birthday. We consider our black lab, Moose, as part of our family and wanted to celebrate as a family. We were so happy to find the Barrows House Inn. When we arrived we were welcomed by the hostesses as we checked in. We had a king room in the main part of the inn. It was spacious enough for us and the bathroom was beautiful, clean and full of nice products. The bed was very comfortable and cozy, we slept very well.
I had ordered the birthday package for my wife, it consisted of flowers and a bottle of wine to be placed in our room prior to arrival and a two person birthday cake after dinner, we ate at the inn. All the above was flawlessly taken care of. The restaurant at the inn is top notch. The food was amazing and worth every penny. Make a reservation and go, I highly recommend it. Breakfast is not held at the inn but at it's sister property, the Dorset Inn, which is located down the street, a short distance away. It's a bit inconvenient but they probably have their reasons. The breakfast was delicious and the service was great. I had eggs benedict and my wife had the stuffed French toast. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and the coffee was perfect.
My only complaints that didn't give the inn a perfect five stars were, traveling to another location for breakfast, there wasn't fresh coffee and treats at the inn, and they over charged me. There was a Keurig machine at the inn but the water in the machine looked gross, to be honest. It was hazy and there was a brown tinge either in the water or on the plastic holding the water. So, we didn't have any coffee after we woke up, before breakfast, disappointing.
The only snacks were small bags of Smartfood popcorn. The Dorset bakery is across the street, maybe have them bake cookies or something for guests? The cake I ordered, which came from there was delicious. There is a restaurant and full kitchen on premises at the Barrows House Inn, I'm not sure why it's not being utilized. Finally, I was charged an extra $50 pet cleaning fee and $3 for the tax. I wouldn't have known this unless I checked the bill. The good news is that it was adjusted later. Overall, a great stay, but like I said, not perfect so hence, the four bones.
