Good Choice
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Winchester VAThe hotel is conveniently located near the highway, has a small grassy area to use for potty breaks, and is in a commercial area with restaurants and the like. The facility was clean and we had a room with great access to the side door. There is a complimentary breakfast which was surprisingly good. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 bones was the floor in the room was not carpeted so it didn’t have that cozy feel. I understand why that is a better option when you have a pet, but it felt cold somehow. Overall though, it was a great choice and I would stay there again.

Perfect Setting
Griffin HotelThis hotel is a great place to stay with your dog. The grounds are beautiful and the location close to the historic district is great. We had a patio room which was very spacious and we could take our puppy outside through the patio door, which was super convenient. I can’t say enough good things about the Griffin and will definitely stay here again. Without a doubt, one of the best dog friendly hotels we have experienced.

Nice!
Ironworks Hotel IndyLovely hotel located in a good restaurant and retail area. It is not located in the city center, so if you are looking to tour downtown, this may not be a good choice. We used the hotel as a one night stopover on our way home, so it was ideal. There are restaurants with outdoor patios adjacent to the hotel, and many other choices a 5 minute drive away. Our room was right across from the elevator and there is a small grassy area on the side of the parking lot for potty breaks. The hotel had 2 dog bowls, a bottle of water, a hotel bandana and a treat for our pup right in our room. There is also water and a bowl of biscuits in the registration area. Overall, it was great for us and our pup, and we would stay there again. (Note: it is a bit pricey, but the accommodations are very nice.)

It’s All Good!
Benton Park InnDan is a great host and a true animal lover. We felt so welcomed and so did our 16 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The Inn is located in a great spot across from a lovely park and a short driving distance to downtown attractions and Bar K dog park (which is fantastic!). We felt very “at home” here and highly recommended Dan and the Benton Park Inn to anyone traveling to St. Louis with their pet. There are no negatives here, it’s all good.

Interesting House
Garden House Bed and BreakfastCertainly was a pet friendly B&B, but you have to be aware that cats also live in the house. My 16 month old pup was having some stomach issues and wanted to go outside every few hours through the night. The good news was that I felt safe in the neighborhood in the middle of the night. The house is very historic so rooms are small with no closet. We were in the middle of a 2 week trip, so lugging luggage was a problem, but we managed to go through our suitcases and just take in what was necessary for one night. I would have enjoyed the stay more if we didn’t have our pup with us, but that is my preference and no reflection on this facility. There are probably better options if you are traveling with your pet.

Good Location
The Talbott HotelNice hotel but we were on the 7th floor so getting out for potty breaks took some time as the hotel was crowded. We were treated well, but nothing extraordinary. There was a water dish and a container of biscuits in the lobby. There is good access to the Magnificent Mile and a 30 minute walk to the Navy Yard. There is a small dog area across the street which was convenient and a larger dog park 2 blocks away. For a large city hotel, it had what we needed and our pup seemed to like it. Valet parking is $79 night, and there is a self park across the street for $53 night—-expensive either way.
