Outstanding

We happened upon Lake Barkly State Resort during a long road trip. We couldn't have been happier with the accommodation and the whole experience. The view was an unexpected surprise. Our only regret was we only had one night. We'll make another trip back to spend more time there. Our dog loved the long walks and snoozing on the balcony as the sun went down.

Terrible

Dirty, in poor repair, and the night manager was rude. Stay here only as a last resort.

Clean and friendly

We were passing through Tennessee with a large dog. We needed a place to stay at short notice and were lucky to get two rooms at this tidy little place right off the highway. Both rooms were immaculate and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's exactly what we needed after a long day of driving.

Fun, friendly and good service

This place is a couple blocks off the main drag but it's well worth the visit. The beer was excellent, everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was friendly and efficient. There was a good band playing live music.

We sat on the deck out front and there must have been at least six dogs. It had an even mix of locals and tourists. It's exactly the kind of place you hope to find in Nashville.
