No clean

The instant we entered the room, an odor of dog excrement was noticeable. My wife went immediately to the front desk. She was told no other rooms were available. Then she was handed a spray can of Febreze! Evidently, that is how carpets are cleaned at La Quinta. Then back in the room, several stains were noticeable on the walls in the wash basin and toilet areas; stains like dried food or boogers. These were quite visible to us, so I have no idea how the cleaning staff could have missed them. Not at all impressed!
