See you next year!
Motel 6 Lima OHWe stayed for two nights for a local event. Pros: very clean, well cared for room. Lots of space inside for set up (crates, dog beds, table, play mat). No bugs, no sticky floor, working fridge, everything was clean. Not the newest or shiniest stuff but good working order. The staff was friendly, helpful and very nice. No issues with other patrons. No seedy activity. Decent grass areas to potty your pooch. We ended up having a few parking lot play dates with other dogs who were staying for the same event. Cons: this is a minimalist motel. No carpet on the floor, so not as cozy as some. Only two chairs and a single table above bed height. Overall, we will be staying again next year!
To be expected
Red Roof Inn & Suites WapakonetaStayed for one evening on our way to another city. Pros: The room was fairly clean, though the hotel was obviously older. Staff (including housekeeping) was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is set back from the road a ways. It helps keep those without an agenda from wandering in. It was not crowded and there were lots of grass areas for potty breaks. No bed bugs and plenty of walking space around the beds.
Cons: There were dried, dead bugs in several of the corners my puppy was able to find and attempt to lick off the floor. The shower was not inviting. In addition, a few truckers were at the hotel. One of them had their dog off leash (they were standing behind the building when we came around the corner) and my puppy was almost attacked. Overall I would say a standard experience for the price. Due to the off leash dog incident, I will not be returning.
