STILL observing Covid protocol!I

SpringHill Suites by Marriott Punta Gorda Harborside

It is the middle of January. 2022, and this hotel is still utilizing COVID protocols. No service; if you want clean towels, you are required to bring the used items to the front desk. You must get rid of your own trash, but no trash liners are in the wastebaskets! The staff was advised twice that there were no doggie bags in their dispensers, but, they were never refilled. Be advised when walking the property and parking lot. I never received a parking tag for my vehicle; when I asked the staff a day later what happened, I was told, "I didn't work yesterday. I have no idea what happened." That is not customer service on even a cursory level. The pool area and the outside seating area is small, uncomfortable, and not well tended. I absolutely recommend you consider other options. There is no reason to stop here.

Not impressed

Residence Inn by Marriott Clearwater Downtown

I booked this hotel predicted on other reviews; location, staff and cleanliness. I was shocked with the lack of service received-we stayed for 5 overnights. Due to "Covid" it was explained that no services were available. However, a mask was required in all public places, but, the common areas were filthy. Glass doors were not clean, no accommodations were made for those staying longer than an overnight-no garbage pick up no cleaning of rooms. There was a large garbage bag placed on every floor for trash for those of us staying longer than one night-but it was not picked up for days. Many many transients in the parking lot make this a suspect spot, and one to which I would not return.
