Do not bring your dog here!

Pike Nurseries

This occured at McKay Rd location, but all are owned by same folks and advertise as “dog friendly”. My dog can be a little anxious, but I am working very hard with her and have her in training. Brought her to store with me, she did wonderful! At checkout-cashier gave her a treat-took it, but was getting a bit anxious and ready to leave. Instead of leaving her be-she is 120 lbs and was sitting calmly at my feet-cashier reached over her and tried to touch her head. It surprised my dog, and she jumped up for a split second before sitting back down calmly at my feet. I talked to cashier-ensured she was ok. she told me multiple times she was unharmed, rang me up, I left. somehow-after I left-the cashier exaggerated story-that my dog visciously attacked her, tried to “bite her nose off”, and I fled the store, hiding my 120 lb dog and fleeing from staff chasing me. Animal control showed up at my house the next day. my dog was placed on 10 days of home quarantine. The “viscious attack” by my 120 lb cane corso resulted in a 1mm superficial scratch to her forehead. I went to the store, was belittled and accused of all kinds of lies by the employee and others. 3 days later-a director reviewed videos and confirmed my dog did not behave aggressively in any manner, nor did I flee the store. I was referred to the HR director-who after one email-has completely and totally ignored me. Not even an apology. Will never go to Pikes again. please do not endanger your pets by bringing them here
