Poor service and amenities

We will not be staying at this hotel again. First, the overall amenities were poor; breakfast included was a packaged Danish. Further, the manager is not accommodating to pets. Only dogs under 20 lbs are welcome. We called ahead to ensure we could bring our parakeet (we're moving across country on military orders); when we arrived, after 14 hours on the road, we were refused check in. After arguing with the manager that we'd verified in advance that the birds were welcome, we were charged $50/parakeet as a penalty for allowing us to stay. So our $180 room cost an additional $150 pet deposit ($50 for the dog and $100 for two small parakeets). We got in near midnight and had no choice but to pay. We will NOT be staying here again.
