Nice, clean, friendly place!
TownePlace Suites by Marriott TexarkanaWe arrived at this hotel late Friday afternoon after a six hour drive from the Austin area. The desk clerk, Lee, was most kind and helpful when I requested extra king sheets, for both beds. He was very complimentary of my sister's rescue dog, Emma. Couldn't say enough kind things about her, which of course made my sister feel very good! The 2 bedroom suite was nice and clean. Because of COVID, I did disinfect everything with wipes and Lysol spray, including the sheets. The 3 of us humans would definitely stay in this hotel again, if we ever have another road trip during COVID!

Masks an option at this hotel
La Quinta by Wyndham CookevilleWe checked into this hotel after a long day's drive from Texarkana to Cookeville. There were people lounging outside, none of whom were wearing masks. Inside, I was greeted by the desk clerk. He was very friendly; however, he was not wearing a mask. Most of the hotel guests did not have masks, and there was no sign stating masks were even suggested.
Our hotel floor smelled like smoke. The room was somewhat clean, though I did thoroughly disinfect everything to be COVID safe.
There was plenty of room for my sister's dog to roam, sniff and do her business.
All in all, the 3 of us humans agree. We would stay there again.
