Love this place
Snug Harbor Bar and Grillthis place is truly dog friendly. unlike the Nelscott Cafe who close their only dog friendly patio at the slightest hint of rain or mist, these guys are open regardless, and their menu is good! the top patio is perfect for dogs.
Patio Closed
Nelscott CafeWe took two small dogs there after reading Fido’s reviews and they said their patio was closed due to rain so no dogs. It’s oregon, it’s always raining. It wasn’t raining when we called in. That’s the second time I’ve tried to bring dogs and the patio has been closed. The woman in front not friendly at all. Done with this place.
Very dog friendly
Smoky Hearth Restaurant Bar & Grillit was 95 on their patio so they allowed us to bring our small dog inside as long as she stayed on our lap. will come back here again, very dog friendly. Great pizza, great walnut apple salad.
Not that dog friendly
McMenamin's PubI’ve never found mcminnemans locations to be dog friendly, anywhere. This one allows dogs in the front with no heaters. They just seem to find dogs an inconvenience.
Best Fish Tacos
UglyFishBest fish tacos on the planet, sit outside with your dog, enjoy some summer music at Bridgeport. Love this place.
Great Area, Not Fenced Off
Sellwood Riverfront ParkThis is a great park for big crazy fun loving dogs. A bit intimidating for my small dogs though. Plus added bonus of the off leash park extending into the river. If I had a big goofy Labrador I’d spend every day here. My doxie stays on leash so I can yank her out of the way of ten bounding dogs heading for the water lol.
Fabulous Hikes With Your Dog
Tryon Creek State Natural AreaNo off leash area but fabulous walks with your leashes dog. I love this park.
Scary Dogs
Gabriel Park Off Leash AreaScary dogs with pack mentality. Won’t take my small dogs in there again, but there are nice hikes all around it so we go there for those.
No Fence
Dog Park at Durham City ParkNice area, lovely park that connects to Tualatin and tigard parks but the off leash area has no fences. I took a friends big dog there and the dog took off into the bushes and fell down an embankment into the stream, he wasn’t hurt, we just couldn’t get him back up, it was muddy and steep. Luckily a nice guy helped us out because otherwise the dog was stuck.
Muddy
Dog Park at Summerlake ParkToo muddy. Tigard doesn’t lay barkdust in winter like they do at Potso. Also no area for small dogs and I’ve encountered some big dogs who scared me, not just my small dog. Not to say the dogs were aggressive, just huge and boisterous and intimidating. I wish they had a small dog park because summerfield park is fabulous and I’d love to take a walk first and then go to the dog park with my small dog.
Not Good For Small Dogs
Ash Avenue Dog ParkI took my Doxie there twice, both times she was chased around the park by big dogs. One shepherd wasn’t friendly and created a pack mentality for the other big dogs. Scared the crap out of my little dog so now we go to Potso.
Great Off Leash Park For Little Dogs
Tualatin Dog ParkI love this little park that is within the big Tualatin park. Get your walk first on all the trails and then go to the off leash park for the dog. I appreciate that they have a small fully fenced area for small dogs.
Reviews Are Way Off
Potso Dog ParkI just read the reviews. Yes there’s a group of dog lovers in the small dog area and yes they do have rules, but the rules are for everyone, pick up your dogs poop, don’t stand behind the fence with your dogs because it drives the other dogs crazy, just come in, none of the dogs bite. These “mean” people you speak of clean the area, provide blankets which they take home and wash, provide toys and wading pools and water bottles, they even spread barkdust in winter. They take care of potso. I’m guessing the people who wrote bad reviews had a reason to be spoken to. They’re all good people at potso and very good dog owners. Best small dog park in the city. I know my Doxie is safe there.
