The reason I shop locally!
Cafe du Bone Dog Bakery & BoutiqueFantastic people, fantastic dog treats, and fantastic options for purchasing raw. This is where I’ll be buying my dogs’ food from now on.
Fun simple walk, right by interstate
John Slidell ParkWe go here often as it’s close to our neighborhood. Great playground, although dogs aren’t allowed in that section (not very enforced). Nice long walking space with a few off-road sections to go through. Leads to a neighborhood which isn’t too bad. Only real issue is how loud it can be from the road noise.
Wonderful walking area
City ParkRecently took one of my dogs here after a parade event near the french quarter, gorgeous grounds, was a lot of fun! We saw plenty of other dogs, got a café au lait, and took a little stroll around near cafe du monde. Everything was nice, only thing is, don't allow your pup to drink from the pond! They have designated water fountains with doggie bowls too, which I'm happy about.
Great bark park!
Camellia City Bark ParkThis park is very close to our residence, making it very accessible for us. It looks smaller than it is, it's inside another park (Fritchie Park), and has parking right in front of it. There's also a walking area behind, although we've yet to walk it.
Our favorite beach!
Hancock County BeachesWe've been to this beach many times during the off-season, whenever it's not too hot, any just about every time, we and our pups have had an amazing time! Very pet friendly. My only real complaint is with the parking and dead things that are sometimes found on the beach itself. What can you do though? Mainly seen after hurricanes.
