No Restroom Facilities for Customers

My pet Pinky, my son and I arrived at my appointment on time and started the checkin process. When I was being given paperwork to fill out, I asked to use the restroom. I was told NO, and that the nearest public restroom is probably Starbucks. I said "really are you serious". I was very surprised that customers are not allowed to use there restroom facilities. Shouldn't paying customers expect to have access to a restroom on site? So we were forced to leave and unhappily but calmly said we will have to go then. All three of us walked out and no one said a word. I am disabled and cannot walk far, we had parked in the disabled parking near the front entrance. I do not take my pet in public places, but since my son was with me and could stay with Pinky, we drove over to Starbucks so I could use there restroom. We had to drive or use my mobility scooter for that distance. My pet Pinky has been a Kearny Mesa Vet patient for a number of years now and I must say I have never been humiliated and disrespected like this at there Kearny Mesa location as I was at this 08-08-23 appointment at Best Friends Veterinary Hospital in Poway. We were rescheduled to Best Friends Vet due to Kearny Mesa being remodeled. It has always been a pleasure to have Kearny Mesa Veterinary care for Pinky until now. I cannot understand how Best Friends Veterinary Hospital can in good conscience send there patients with (pets in tow) to a public business to use there restrooms and expect customers to return. I did not. It's not even appropriate to take pets in most business even to just use the restroom.
