Service dog denied access
Tru by Hilton MobileSon’s service dog was not allowed in breakfast area. Told it was “policy." It’s not legal.
Pretty good
Candlewood Suites Salina an IHG HotelThey no longer have breakfast. Room was comfortable enough. There are several places to eat nearby. Very dog friendly and good places to take your dog outside. Only drawback for me was the road noise. I’d stay again, but ask for a room away from highway.
No dog area
Drury Inn & Suites St Louis Convention CenterFrom a human standpoint, this hotel is lovely. Five bones. However, as a single woman traveler with a dog, it is not a place I’d stay again. The only green space is Arch Park. It’s a beautiful place for a great walk, but if your dog has to go out after (or before) daylight, you have to leave the hotel, walk down a city sidewalk, cross a street, and enter the park. The closest entrance is tree-lined and dark. A farther entrance is down a sidewalk and around a church. If you’re traveling with a dog, I’d skip it. If not, it’s a great place to stay.
Not easy with a dog
Drury Plaza Hotel St Louis at the ArchThe hotel is lovely. The walk to get to a green space is not great unless you are more than one person or only going in daylight hours. After leaving hotel, you walk down a city sidewalk, cross a street, and enter a rather wooded walk to the park (meaning you are not going to be as visible from the street). It’s a wonderful place to walk in the daytime. As a single woman, it’s unnerving to take your dog out in the dark. I felt like a horrible person for making her wait and for not doing better homework before booking here.
