Definitely dog-friendly; server brought water for my dog before I got my coffee! Food was ordinary but was served promptly and hot. Recommend.

But not for a place to sleep when you're on a road trip or a tight schedule. Unlike a hotel or AirBnB, this B&B lacks the usual amenities - little refrigerator, microwave oven - that are usual and useful for someone making a road trip. My room didn't even have a water glass. On the plus side, the room was lovely, the bed comfy, and the breakfast (not served until 8:30 and in a different location than the Steele Cottage) was bountiful and delicious.

For a cheap motel room, it had all the basics, and was quiet. I probably would stay here again.
