Not very pet friendly
Gateway InnThe accommodations were OK, quite reasonable for a 2 star sort of place. And the staff was quite friendly, even jovial. That said, my dog's having to stay in a crate whenever he's in a room means the lodging is NOT pet friendly. Hat's off to my dog who put up with his confinement with aplomb. This motel should either: 1) eliminate the requirement that a pet remain in a crate whenever he is in the room, or 2) revoke its claim of being "pet friendly." From now on, though, I'll ask what specific policies a "pet friendly" place has. If I could give no bones, I'd do that.

Surprising Value
Motel 6 Bend OrI've stayed at a Motel 6 before and found the accommodations spartan, to be generous. Our room this time had microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and a good size TV (though we didn't use it). While the location was reasonably convenient, the surrounding area wasn't the best. Nice quiet room, despite the railroad and highway nearby.
