Staff are Dog Lovers

Besides the Mill St Inn being a very cool reincarnation of an old saw mill and in a fantastic location. What impressed me and my wife the most was the staff. They were all dog lovers. One evening when my wife and I returned from dinner there was a dog behind the counter with the receptionist. We thought it was her dog, but she told us she was only dog sitting. Apparently the dog was left alone while the owners went out to dinner and began barking. Rather than calling the owners to ruin their night out, she took it upon herself to offer having the dog hang out with her at the front desk. It doesn’t get any better than that! When we return to Newport we know where we’ll be staying. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff!
