A little foggy

Check-in was easy. No "doggy bag" like we received when we stayed at a different hotel here a while back. The room was okay, very dated and in need of some updating. Carpeting was stained, desk chair as well. Bed was comfortable. We had a partial ocean view from the front window. There was no grass area for pets. We had to take our dog across to the beach area, but that was mostly sand, weeds and a few plants. They had water in the room, but charge $5 per bottle. I think it should have been complimentary for the price of the room. Also am being charged $50 more on my pending credit card charge than what the paper statement shows, so I will have to call the hotel if this is not corrected on the final posting. Overall, it was okay, but I would not stay here again. Probably will try one of the hotels in town that have grassy area for my dog. The beach is not dog friendly by the hotel. We took her up to San Simeon, where she could walk on the beach.
