Excellent for humans and pups!

This was our second stay at the Avalon Hotel in Alpharetta Georgia during Thanksgiving week to visit family, our first was 2022. This hotel is impeccably clean, tastefully decorated, yet comfortable and the staff is excellent. Nate, from valet, remembered us from 2022 on this visit in 2023. Very dog friendly and beautiful landscape beyond the shopping for walks and sniffing. We highly recommend staying here.

Disappointed

We go through Biloxi annually en route to our in-laws. This year we decided to try out Beau Rivage for the experience. So not worth the cost and an overall bad experience. It was our first time there and as we pulled into the "Thru" area to get checked in - instead of a greeting, we were told that we couldn't park to check in and that one of us world have to stay on the car as we had the dog. Why did the valets not offer the valet service, a bell cart, and to help us get checked in? First red flag and lost opportunity for a tip.

Once checked in, we got to the room to decompress and unpack. Upon sitting on the floor, we discovered gushers wrappers under the dresser and candy stuck to the floor. Ewwwww! 2nd bad flaw, but we were unpacked and didn't go want to go back through checking in. After dinner we went into the casino and tried to get a drink at the video poker bar. Instead of a greeting, the two bartenders declined to acknowledge us and walked around to the other side of the bar and ignored us. Boo! Bad service experience number three. Finally on checkout, the two reservations agents were making fun of guests taking pictures in front of the holiday decorations very loudly. Four huge negatives in less than 24 hours. Save your money and go to a different hotel in the area.

Great Experience

We had a great experience. Bellman was extra helpful and our room had a great view of the Shreveport Boardwalk. Our room was got little to noise from hall traffic and our pup really enjoyed his experience.
