Disappointing Experience at PetSmart Grooming in Levittown, Long Island on 11/18/2023

I recently brought my 7-month-old Shih Tzu/Maltese puppy, Nyla, to PetSmart Grooming in Levittown, Long Island, on 11/18/2023, with specific instructions for a targeted trim due to matting on her legs. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.

Despite agreeing to only trim the matted areas, they shaved Nyla down to her skin all over, including her face and back, completely disregarding my preferences. This drastic and unnecessary grooming decision left my once beautiful, fluffy dog with a bare appearance that was not only against my wishes but also detrimental to her overall well-being.

To make matters worse, Nyla came home visibly frightened and shaky, indicating a distressing grooming experience. I am deeply concerned about the treatment she received during her time at PetSmart Grooming in Levittown, Long Island, on 11/18/2023. I would strongly advise fellow pet owners to exercise caution and reconsider bringing their dogs to this establishment.

My hope is that this review serves as a warning to others, urging them to choose a grooming place that prioritizes both the owner's instructions and the well-being of their furry companions.
