Incredible Stay!!
Lighthouse Motel & CottagesWe really enjoyed our very short stay. We had a small challenge finding the property but once we arrived, Marc and his two wonderful dogs were incredibly welcoming. He provided us with a little tour of the property, dining recommendations, etc. I was traveling with my husband and 75lb dog. In my opinion it can be very challenging to find a truly dog friendly property but this place was perfect. We stayed in a small studio room right on the river. Despite its size, it was clean, tastefully decorated and comfortable. There was a little "beach" and river access that our dog absolutely loved. We had a dock right outside of our room and took the opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee and the beautiful scenery in the morning. This is truly a lovely spot and a very welcoming environment. I would definitely stay there again and encourage my friends/family to do the same. As for our dog Camden, he gives it 4 paws up! Thank you for a great stay!

Nice Experience
Atlantica Hotel HalifaxWe enjoyed our stay at the Atlantica Hotel. The customer service was really great from check in to dining to check out. I wish I could remember everyone's name b/c they were very helpful! I am a bit iffy on the location. It's a little under a mile walk to the waterfront and all the "action" downtown. I would have preferred to stay a bit closer to the waterfront as I was uncomfortable walking alone in the evening back to the hotel. On the upside, there was a huge grassy area right outside the hotel so my dog could go to the bathroom easily. I would not get this perk closer to downtown. Walls were very thin and I had the pleasure of being woken up at 4am by my neighbors music. Rooms were nice, updated and clean. I would strongly recommend they improve the lighting as rooms were very dark. Food in the hotel was good and the servers/bartenders were great. Overall a nice stay.

Not your typical Hilton
Hilton Saint JohnOur stay was ok, however I don't think I would stay at this hotel again. The customer service at the hotel was incredible. The first room they put us in smelled like smoke and we requested to be moved. They did so quickly and efficiently. The room we stayed in had a nice view but very, very small bathroom. Walls appeared very dirty and room seemed a bit dingy. This hotel would benefit from a refresh. Parking is relatively convenient in a garage across the street. Overall everything was fine.
