A good choice!
Holiday Inn Express Fairfield an IHG HotelThe room was clean and the breakfast was great. Lots of first floor rooms with easy access to the outside and trash barrels
Very Welcoming!
La Quinta by Wyndham BataviaThe staff are canine fans and quite liberal with the treats and pets. Rooms are clean and comfortable and lots of first floor units with easy access to the outside. This place is much for economical than staying near Buffalo or Rochester and is easy to find right off the NYS Thruway.
Pass This One By
Days Inn by Wyndham SharonvillePlusses: the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the heat worked, the shower had good pressure. And it is pretty much dog-proof. And Starbucks is within a mile. Minuses: the bathtub was old and peeling, the hairdryer did not work, the coffee maker did not work, there was no breakfast, and another guest damaged my car in the parking lot and did not leave a note.
Great location!
Staybridge Suites Savannah Historic District an IHG HotelRoom was clean when we arrived and dogs were very welcome here. Only hiccup we had was getting towels the second day. We were out of the room for hours in the morning with the dogs and the room was not serviced. But this location on Bay Street is close to River Street and within a 15 minute walk of most walking tour departure points.
Great meal!
Joe's Crab ShackOk,, I know this is a chain but we had a lovely picnic table riverside and the dogs got water bowls. My friend got a special lemonade in a flashing glass, mussels, and catfish. I had a kiwi margarita, calamari, and the redfish with lobster sauce. All were excellent and our server was very attentive. In Savannah tradition, we were accommodated with travelling cups for our drinks.
Great Introduction to Savannah
Explore Savannah ToursRose was very knowledgeable and we were lucky to be the only two people and two dogs on the tour. Wright Square to Monterey Square, with a stroll down Jones Street and finishing up by the old cemetery.
Wonderful Afternoon!
Bonaventure CemeteryOur guide was very knowledgeable, even showed us a plot he recently purchased for his family. Beautiful trees in bloom, wonderful sculptures. Pick-up at hotel was nice, although our mates were a bit surprised to see two dogs joining them.
Excellent Tour!
Oliver Bentleys Historic Dog Walk TourWe brought our two dogs, Eric our guide had Abby, and another woman brought George. A grand tour with both macro and micro insights from Eric on the places we visited. Thank you!
