Pet Cab NYC: Three weeks before my trip to NYC with my 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks and 5 suitcases, I contacted Pet Cab NYC for a ride from JFK to the city in the morning and then another ride from the city to Newark at night. They were quick to confirm and to send me a link for prepayment of their services. I was looking for their advertised “white glove service” for our transfers. What did we get? An Uber and a cancellation provided by the most incompetent and clueless “company” I’ve ever dealt with.

When we arrived early morning at JFK, Pet Cab NYC didn’t inform us our ride details, so I called and message them to find out the details. After a slight delay, I was informed that a white van was waiting for us on terminal B. No driver’s name or cell phone number, so we had to chase the white van that was on the other side of the terminal at the Uber pick up area. Long story short, Pet Can NY had simply hired an Uber to pick us up, when we agreed and paid for a private transfer for us and our dogs in one of the company’s cars. When I let them know that the experience was disappointing, they immediately said that the second ride would be cancelled.

They were caught on their scams and got defensive. Afterwards they said that they would send me the car information for the evening transfer and they would pick me up at 9pm as requested.

I didn’t receive any more communication from the company, and 30 minutes before pickup time, I got a call from the company and she offered me to take my dogs to the airport but I would have to get another ride for me and my luggage and ride separately to the airport. When I refused the insane offer, she hang up on me refusing a full refund for their attempt to provide a service that they were obviously not qualified for. They agreed with my request, asked for a payment, knowing that they wouldn’t be able to provide the service. This company operates in bad faith. They collect your money and when they need to perform, they change the story and simply cancel the service that, as a traveler, we all rely on. I’m sure that a company this incompetent will not last long, but I advise you to avoid them at all cost.
