THE most dog-friendly dining spot in Pinehurst

Our dog LOVES going to the Drum & Quill! Pets are welcome on the front & side patios (8+ tables), and all servers we've had outdoors are "dog parents". They bring water for 4-legged customers, pet, and generally fuss over them.
I understand the owner is even considering offering a "pet menu" of home-made biscuits, gourmet dog jerky & other healthy treats. (Will update this review if it comes to fruition).
Unfortunately, while pets are permitted at the Homewood Suites Pinehurst and some private rental homes, Pinehurst Resort & most other area hotels allow service animals only, NOT pets.
