Can't leave the room without your dog

The hotel itself was nice, as Quality Inns usually are. I was surprised at the very strict pet policy which stated that dogs were not to be left alone in the room under any circumstances. This is really limiting for anyone traveling with a dog. If the traveler is confident that the dog will behave when left alone for an hour or two, this should be left to their discretion. Had I been aware of this policy, I would not have chosen the hotel to travel with my dog.
