Love the back porch!

Double Dogs has a handful of tables out front, but the real gem is the "back porch" area located at the opposite corner from the front door. The back porch is covered and has three walls, so it almost feels like you're inside, but you can still have Fido with you. The tables there are bar-height tables, but if you get one against the left wall, you can sit on the bench. Since we've got a 14 pound dog, we just let her sit on the bench with us!

Everyone serving us there was very nice to us and our dog - she got a cookie, a bowl of water, and a bandana!

Dog-Friendly Patio

Slim Chickens allows dogs on their patio, where they have about half a dozen four-seat tables. This is a great patio for eating dinner because it faces away from the sun in the evening. Also, the patio is covered, so it’s still a great choice even when it’s raining.

You can either order at the drive-through, or if you’ve got a friend, they can hang out with Fido outside while you order inside. Then the food gets delivered to your table.

This restaurant is quite close to the interstate, so it’s a great stop-off on the way home from a day hike.
