Get What You Pay For

I knew what I was getting into when I was looking for a cheaper option to stay over night with my dog on a road trip. Check-in was quick, but the front desk woman failed to tell me my room’s door handle had to be pulled up in a specific way to get in. Why wouldn’t you tell me this? I had my hands full with luggage and a dog on a leash after driving for 5 hours, so I was definitely a little frustrated when I couldn’t get into my room and had to go back to the front desk to inquire about my room door not opening.

She wasn’t at the front desk, so I rung the bell…. nothing… rang the bell again… nothing. I went out front and she was having a cigarette. I asked her about the door and she just said “have you tried pulling the handle up?” I let her know it would have been helpful to know that when I checked in. She shrugged it off and continued to smoke. Everything else was fine The woman I checked out with in the morning was a different person and really friendly. It’s a good option when you only use it for sleeping on the road with your dog. Just don’t expect amazing customer service.

Clean & Simple - Not Perfect

My expectations are pretty low when I pay this price for a motel. But, Motel 6s usually don’t disappoint. Clean, simple, friendly staff. We definitely needed more blankets in the bed. We had the heater cranking and were still cold! Front desk also called us at 11pm to move our car for the morning trash truck… oh well. Great price for a dog friendly place to stay!

Hidden Costs

We had a great stay, but was WAY more expensive then first thought. The cost we thought it would be was $28 for the room, $50 for our dog. Well, the hotel has a $39 resort fee plus $18 per day for parking. Expect our one night stay to be less than $100, it ended up being much more! Everything else was great.

Easy Stay

Front desk woman was awesome. Clean, simple-modern rooms. For a dog-friendly room, you CANNOT beat the price.
