Not a great location

The Days Inn of West Covina is located right next to the freeway, with a deteriorating neighborhood directly behind the property. Someone set off what sounded like strings of M-80 firecrackers about midnight, and again about 5 am. We could see the flashes, through the window, although we couldn't see anyone in the courtyard at the time. Our dog is terrified of loud noises, especially fireworks. She wanted to get under the bed, as that it her safe place at home. That wasn't possible because the bed was on a pedestal. She was shaking, and huddled up in the corner, next to the bed. The hotel is quite old. The room was clean and huge, with 2 kings size beds. We got ready, and left as soon as possible.
