Dog Friendly with Gorgeous Views

Shenandoah Inn

The view was amazing and a total surprise So I’m giving an extra star for that. The view included rolling hills and lots of cows. The room was big. Staff was professional and friendly. They let us check in early. They include a lot of little extras in the room such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shoe polish wipes, cleansing cloths for the face. The room also includes a hairdryer, mini fridge, a full-size ironing board, an iron, corkscrew, two wine glasses. There is also a flatscreen TV with satellite and free Wi-Fi that works pretty well.

They were completely dog friendly and only charged $25 for the dog fee but only a few rooms are designated dog friendly, so definitely call ahead to reserve a dog room. Our dog is a pitbull and we often encounter breed discrimination but they were welcoming and loving to her.

The stay includes a continental breakfast with a variety of toast options, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs and coffee.

Unfortunately the weather was cold so we didn’t use the pool. Manager said the pool is unheated and spa is 98 degrees but that he can get it to 104 if we wanted.

There is a Mexican restaurant, donut shop and grocery store within walking distance. But you’ll have a short drive to the little downtown and to wineries.
