Grooming Review

I take my dog to Petco for grooming, this time I decided to try Petsmart and took an appointment today. We reach there and there was a cold welcome reception, dirty room. The girl didn’t take us in because the vet form didn’t have an expiration date for rabbies vaccine that was administered only 5 months ago. We kept saying - please assume that it’s one year if there is no expiration- my pet can even travel internationally with the vet form I have. She said sometimes it’s 2 or 3 years and I need an expiration date, I reminded her that 2 years is more than 1. Why can’t you put 1 - she said, as per policy, I need expiry date (she couldn’t show me the policy, and explicitly said - I’m not sure if it’s documented on the site but it’s in the policy). Bonnie (the manager?) came and said the same thing. There was no attempt to be a smart and solutions oriented ”service provider” ... quite appalling.

Needless to say, my last time stepping foot at the Petsmart Frontier drive grooming center. Got an appointment with Petco for tomorrow.
