Super close, lots of trails, great scenery

We visited Newlin Grist Mill for the first time yesterday even though it's so close to everywhere we shop. It was awesome! There were lots of trails to choose from, it was super shady, and my dog could swim in the river. There was even a real live blacksmith there who was making a tool that doesn't even exist in the US anymore and he talked to us about what he was doing.

Some of the trails have pretty tall grass, so I definitely recommend wearing pants to avoid bugs and ticks getting on you if you're going hiking.
