Loved it
The Postmark GrilleDelicious food and our dogs were treated kindly. Yes, we had to keep them under the table, but that was fine. Will definitely visit again.

Ick!
La Quinta Inn by Wyndham WausauWe were a little nervous as we arrived to La Quinta. The parking lot has trash blowing around and cigarette butts in every crack and crevice. The minute we walked in, there was a strange smell. Check in was less than friendly and the manager was the same. No pleasantries at all.
Because it was a weekend, we paid over $120. This felt like a $50 experience. Our room had a strong chemical smell and we could not get rid of it by opening windows. The room seemed clean enough, except for the bathroom. The bottom of the toilet had not been cleaned. The drains in the sink were rusty and cracked. We debated just making the 2.5 hour drive home, but we decided to stay. We skipped breakfast as the state of the hotel did not make us feel confident in the kitchen. About six a group of hotel guest hung out in the parking lot and sat on lawn chairs and smoked and drank. They were still there when we fell asleep after 10. Everything about this place felt “ghetto”.
My husband said it was because it was a pet friendly hotel, but I disagreed. I have stayed at this chain of hotels before and it was not this type of experience. However, now that I have had this experience, we won’t stay at one again.
I don’t like negativity, but I also don’t want others to have this experience.
If you are okay with an 1 star hotel experience, than this hotel may be okay. Otherwise beware !
