Scuzzy hotel

First room they gave me - the PHONE WAS DEAD! What a security risk! I told the front desk, but in 12 hours it was not fixed. The WiFi didn't work. The bathroom was so dark I couldn't see to shave my face. They moved me to another room. Still no WiFi. There was a cockroach in the bathroom (although the front desk claimed not to worry, it was a beetle not a cockroach). The privacy window curtain wouldn't close so there was no privacy. The showerhead was broken and all you could get was a strong gush of water like a fire hydrant power flow. The paint was peeling badly in the corner of the ceiling above the shower.

The free breakfast was HORRIBLE! I was sorry I'd eaten it (I tried an egg omelet, which tasted like plastic). Meager offerings and trust me - you'd best go to a proper restaurant. Pool was closed "for cleaning." Desk was right next to the A/C vent so you felt like you were going to get pneumonia working on your laptop. Beds are super super high (I've never seen beds that high) - so my dog couldn't jump up on them and I feared (once I'd lifted him onto to my bed) he'd hurt himself if he tried jumping off. But they know how to CHARGE, don't they?!

Lovely Modern Hotel

This is one of the nicest pet-friendly hotels I've stayed at in this price range - and I've stayed at many. Modern architecture, everything feels newish. Shower is the kind you'd find in a new home, the bathroom clean and bright. They even have special reading lamps by the bed that make reading a pleasure. It's quiet, too - you don't hear noise from nearby rooms. Me and my fuzzy angel will be coming back to stay here anytime I'm in the area.

WHAT A DIVE!!!!!

1st room given, the A/C was broken. The manager or owner then tried to give me a smoking room that REEKED of cigarettes. Third and final room I took because it was late in the evening— too late to search for someplace else but the TV was broken, there was a gap in the entry door through which anyone could look in (I covered it with my upright luggage), the curtains did not close (anyone could peek in from the outside; I barricaded that with a gym bag) ... the shower curtain was filthy, there were sketchy types everywhere, and in the middle of the night I was awakened to hear someone’s TV!!!!! NIGHTMARE!!! EVEN MY DOG COULDN’T WAIT TO LEAVE!
