Dogs Can't Go Inside

I called to ask if my dog can come in and the barista was very perplexed and said "wait, so you want to have your coffee....with your dog...?" I said yes and the response was "you can tie them up outside and watch them from the window..." They coffee shop has pictures of dogs up on the walls (all outside the coffee shop) and make it look like they are dog friendly but they clearly are not...
